Lunaproxy supports two authentication methods: whitelist authentication and account-password authentication
Packages that support whitelist authentication: dynamic residential proxy, unlimited residential proxy, long-term ISP proxy
Packages that support account-password authentication: All LunaProxy packages support account-password authentication
What is whitelist authentication
Whitelist authentication refers to an authentication method that verifies user identity through IP whitelist. Users add the IP of local devices to the whitelist . When used, the server identifies the user by matching the IP whitelist with the user's device IP. In lunaproxy, using API links requires identity verification through the whitelist
For example, device A If you add the IP of the device A to the whitelist of the luna account, you can use it through the API link in device A without filling in the account password. If you do not add the IP of device A to the whitelist, you cannot use the IP in the API link in device A.
What is account and password authentication
Account and password authentication refers to the authentication method of verifying the user's identity through the account and password. Unlike whitelist authentication, it is not necessary to add the device IP to the whitelist. When using it, you only need to fill in the host (IP), port, account and password to use the proxy
